Great Lakes Weim Rescue is looking for foster homes.
Being a foster parent is very rewarding!
Not only do you open your home the a Weim in need, you also get to be part of the Great Lakes Weim family! This is a very supportive family with a message board to help answer quetions, share funny stories, and help you every step of the way.
Most Weims come in afraid, alone, and in some cases abused. And sometimes the reason they end up at a shelter is unknown.
These sensitive souls need a place to rest their tired body, their sad hearts, and hungry stomachs.
When you start fostering you may wonder, "What did I get myself into?!?!" But once you see your foster dog walk through your door looking for your guidance, trust, and warm place to sleep you will be overcome by wanting to help your foster Weim. It is an amazing experience to watch how far they come from being unsure to leaving being confident dogs ready to take on the world!
In no time you'll think how can I not want to see that smiling face, cold nose on your arm, fur on your clothes, happy dog when I come home.
